Harvest is Here!

Harvest Season is here! The Valley celebrates harvest season from August to October and sometimes even going to November. Harvest season also known as “crush” season is peak season in the valley. As vineyards start to change color, wineries start to pick grapes for sparkling and white wines and end the season with picking grapes for red wine.

Many wineries offer special events during this season especially during September and October like dinner parties. Some wineries even offer traditional grape stomping.

Winery Events

Chandon is having a harvest experience and breakfast, every Sunday from August 18th to September 8th, from 8:00 – 10:00 am . Join Chandon in their vineyards for a sunrise breakfast with the team, accompanied by wines from the vines that surround you, and a fascinating tour of the vineyards.

V. Sattui is celebrating their 38th Harvest Ball anniversary on September 14th from 5:30 – 11:00 pm.

To kick off Harvest season, Handwritten Wines is hosting a harvest celebration with a whole hog on August 18th.

Interested in a harvest farmers market? Clos Du Val has you covered on October 6th from 11:00 – 2:00 pm.

Stanly Ranch is offering a dinner party, Sunday, November 17th to end the season.

Grape Stomping Events

Grape stomping goes back to 200 BC in Ancient Rome, while we have upgraded to machines here in the valley, we still have wineries that offer the experience of a lifetime!

Hands on Harvest with Trefethen Family Vineyards on September 14th from 10:00 – 4:00 pm. Enjoy picking grapes in the vineyards, then eating lunch paired with their wines in Napa.

Enjoy a crush party with a Spanish flair! Bouchaine Vineyards located in Napa, wants you to join them at their party October 6th from 11:00 – 3:30 pm.

V. Sattui in St. Helena is also having a crush party! Enjoy meeting the winemakers and growers, stomping on grapes the old fashioned way, music, food and wine. October 18th from 6:00 – 10:00 pm.
